Athiradi sambhar is a simple dish. Howmuch ever we eat pizza, burgers & bread, we would long to eat rice and sambhar. So this recipe is easy to make.
Ingredients
Thoor Dhal 1cup
Onion 1
Tomato 1
Any vegetable ( radish, pumpkin, drumstick)
Green chilly 1
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder
Tamarind paste (little)
Sambhar Powder 1 tsp
Salt
Curryleaves
Corriander leaves

Method :
Wash and soak thoor dhal for few mins. Heat oil in a pan add seasoning items. Fry onion, curry leaves, tomato and green chilly.
Add vegetable and keep frying. Now add all the powders and fry for 2 mins. Mix thoordhal and add 3 cups of water. check salt.
Transfer it to a pressure pan and allow it to cook for 4 whistles. When it is done open the lid and garnish with corriander leaves.
Athiradi sambhar ready to eat with rice or idli.
